DirectFX POP 3 e-mail accounts
Firstly you need to confirm that your current ISP (Internet Service Provider) allows you to have a pop3 e-mail account. If they do, they will inform you of the Outgoing SMTP server address. If you currently collect mail from a website address you probably haven't got this facility and would have to upgrade your service with them.

To pick up e-mail with your e-mail client such as Outlook Express you will need to configure the following settings.

Receiving Mail
Account ID: your e-mail address   i.e. andrew@directfx.co.uk
POP server: mail.yourdomainname   i.e. mail.directfx.co.uk
Password: your e-mail password
Sending Mail
SMTP: This is provided by your ISP

If you have forgotten your e-mail password please refer to your e-mails regarding the set-up of your website or telephone/e-mail DirectFX now.

BT and other Internet Service Providers will only allow you to send mail through their servers once you have authorised the new e-mail address with them. This means a phone call to them and a delay whilst they register the new address to your account.
It also means that you have to Authenticate your new address within your mail program.
